Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC have launched the new Institute of Skilled Trades to strengthen trades training and improve job outcomes. The institute will bring skilled trades programs together under one focused structure and invest $25 million dollars over five years to modernize classrooms and workshops across the province. Today the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps celebrates its 59th anniversary. Sea Cadets was founded in 1962 to teach America’s youth the significance of maritime service in national defense while instilling a sense of pride and patriotism in our country.
