Look — Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is a real condition. It causes episodes of severe nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in people who’ve used marijuana daily and chronically for years. The only real “cure” is stopping cannabis use altogether. But let’s be clear: That’s not what most of my young patients are dealing with. Too often, someone comes in with nausea or abdominal cramping, and they mention they’ve tried marijuana to help ease the symptoms. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn’t.
