Rheem just announced they are adding additional R454B refrigerant to the residential condensing unit precharge to handle 3/8 line sets up to 30' long. Since the R454B shortage (or tank shortage as some say) have made it impossible for many to properly charge the new system. Adding this refrigerant would mean less for the contractors, techs and installers to have to source on their own. The additional refrigerant will have no additional monetary charge.
