Bullying and lack of support for dispatch trainees is a huge problem that is causing many people to leave prematurely in an industry that already struggles to retain staffing. Yes, this job is hard. A large percentage of people won’t make it through training for that alone. However, more dispatchers are being pushed out the door that we can’t afford to lose because of toxic work environments. If this problem isn’t addressed, staffing levels at dispatch centers nationwide will continue to suffer.
