The ‘Templer Way’ is an 18 miles route from Haytor quarries to Teignmouth following the unique Granite Tramway to Stover Canal, then along the Teign estuary to Teignmouth’s New Quay. Today we walked the second half of the route through woodlands and villages, past towns and along the estuary, and finally a ferry ride on the UK’s oldest ferry route.
