After acquiring necessary permissions from NHPC and other departments, we were allowed inside one of J&K’s biggest hydro-electric power stations, the Uri 1 which produces 480 MW’s of electricity. It was an awesome visit to end our two day long Uri Expedition. The Uri 1 project was completed over a span of seven years by an European consortium called Uri Civil led by Swedish and British companies.
