Today marks the anniversary of Grace Darling’s courageous rescue in 1838. Grace was just 22 when she risked her life in an open boat to rescue survivors from the wreck of the ss Forfarshire. Alongside her father, she rowed for over a mile through raging seas to reach them. The courage that Grace showed on that day is now legendary.
