Ever since the massive August 17, 1959 Hebgen Lake Earthquake, Clepsydra Geyser erupts almost without pause. Incidentally, its name is Greek for water clock and was given because the geyser used to erupt regularly every three minutes. There have been a number of events throughout this weekend at the Earthquake Lake Visitor Center in honor of the 65th anniversary of the devastating earthquake.
