I'm just saying that, like the numbers "1423" and "1488," some people now tie a second meaning tied to the gesture. It's still fine to use the ok gesture, just like it's still fine to use 1423 or 1488.

The people flying the flag upside down wouldn’t be caught dead kneeling during the anthem or burning the flag. Matter of fact I’d bet anything that they would gladly give their lives in defense of the flag.
