One month into the 2025-26 women's college basketball season, we've already seen big-time matchups and outstanding individual performances. Six players, led by Allie Ziebell's 16, scored in double figures in UConn's 104-39 rout Sunday that keeps it No. 1 on this Associated Press Top 25 ballot and likely No. 1 when all ballots are counted. But look for Texas to get first-place votes. The AP poll will be released Monday at noon.

South Carolina, UCLA and Texas round up the top four, but they will all be tested this week at the Players Era championship in Las Vegas. Joining them will be Duke, a team that fell off the rankings last week and dug itself deeper into a hole after a loss to South Florida on Thursday. The Blue Devils are no longer receiving votes.

The Huskies will then be off for fall semester final exams before going to Los Angeles to face USC Dec. 13 in a rematch of a 2025 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight game. The Trojans defeated the Huskies in Hartford during the regular season and the matchup at the Galen Center completes a home-and-home.
