No. 12 was unavailable in New York with that jersey retired in honor of Super Bowl III-winning quarterback Joe Namath.

After weeks of waiting and mulling his different options, Aaron Rodgers has chosen his new NFL team. The four-time NFL MVP agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced Thursday night.

Sure, Rodgers hasn’t officially said he’s retiring after this season. But he’s also 41 years old, playing like it, and selective on where he plays from here on out. There’s not going to be too many options left over after this season. Which is why he needs to have a historic season to finish on a high.
