A man sentenced to death for the killing of a North Kansas City police officer is appealing both his conviction and his sentence to the Missouri Supreme Court.
"Once you do start having accidents on interstates and around the area, it slows our ability to get to those because we’re sitting in the backlog just like everybody else," a MoDOT spokesperson said.
