NCAA president Charlie Baker released a statement Thursday saying the NCAA is "vehemently opposed" to prediction market Kalshi's proposal to allow trading on whether college athletes will enter the transfer portal.
Kalshi has self-certified trading on the NCAA transfer portal, a decision that the NCAA has staunchly come out against.
Kalshi filed the necessary paperwork to begin taking bets this week on who will transfer, but as of Thursday no markets are available.
