The Boston Red Sox have made it clear all offseason long that they intend to rise the ranks in the MLB after a few seasons spent in the middle of the pack. And they certainly have put their money where their mouth is.

Crochet is coming off his first full season as a starting pitcher. His early-career injuries and usage out of the White Sox’s bullpen limited his arbitration earnings. The Red Sox already have the makings of a strong bullpen, with Chapman and Wilson joining a grouping that also features Liam Hendriks, Justin Slaten, and Garrett Whitlock.
