The Tennessee Titans lost a rotational member of their edge rusher/outside linebacker crew at the start of training camp when veteran Lorenzo Carter decided to retire. Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi broke the news of Carter letting the organization know of his retirement,

Carter, a Georgia native, was rated as a five-star recruit out of high school and elected to stay home for his collegiate career as he played four seasons for the Georgia Bulldogs. He appeared in 54 games and racked up 165 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and seven forced fumbles.
