Interstate 70 between State Route 315 and Interstate 71 in downtown Columbus will close this weekend for demolition work on the High Street bridge, according to ODOT.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened as of 12:40 p.m. Friday at Exit 256 at Lookout Mountain after a car fire lead to their closure. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the car fire. The Colorado Department of Transportation first announced the road closure on social media at approximately 2:58 a.m. Friday.
Traffic has been reduced to a single lane on Crawford Lane Bridge in Rostraver. Temporary traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge, on Crawford Lane and Finley Road, to guide traffic over the span that crosses above Interstate 70.
