George Atkinson, one of the Raiders' all-time great players who later worked as a team broadcasters, has died at age 78, the team announced.

Atkinson died Sunday night at his home in Savannah, and now one of Atkinson's friends and high school teammates is remembering the man and the athlete. "I'm still trying to process it because he meant so much to me," Frank Ellis said.
