However, the team received tough news Friday afternoon. Star guard Caitlin Clark was ruled out again for Saturday with a lingering groin injury. Clark has not played since logging 31 minutes in a road game against Seattle on June 24. According to the Clark's player page on the official WNBA site:

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will miss another game Saturday as she recovers from a left groin injury. The game against the Los Angeles Sparks will be the fifth straight game Clark has missed with the injury, including Tuesday's WNBA Commissioner's Cup championship game and Thursday's game against Las Vegas.
