Police in Hungary say they are investigating bomb threats that were sent to more than 240 schools across the country, resulting in classes being cancelled at some schools.

Police say the FBI is involved in an ongoing investigation of a bomb threat earlier this month at Carman-Ainsworth High School.

A school in Vadodara received bomb threat on Friday after which police and bomb squad reached the spot. The threat was received by the principal of Navrachana School via email after which the school was closed to ensure the safety of students and staff. The police conducted thorough checks at the school premises.

A private school in Vadodara today, Friday, January 24, received an email at 4 am threatening them that the campus will be blown up, police said. After receiving the bomb threat, school authorities immediately informed the parents and declared a holiday for students and staff to ensure their safety.

The Navrachana Higher Secondary School in Vadodara, Gujarat, received a bomb threat over email on Friday. “Police and bomb squad at the spot,” news agency PTI reported. The threat eventually turned out to be a hoax.
