After Storm Blair hit the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest with nearly a foot of sleet and snow, airlines are canceling thousands of flights.

The bad weather conditions quickly translated to flight disruptions with more than 1,490 flights canceled within, into, or out of the U.S. as of Monday morning, according to flight tracker FlightAware. That followed more than 1,800 flights that were canceled on Sunday.

Airlines in the United States canceled more than 1,300 flights on Monday after a winter storm brought snow, ice and freezing temperatures to a broad swath of the country. A total of 1,306 flights were canceled and 414 flights were delayed,
