Temperatures fell below freezing early Tuesday leading to icy roads and crashes on local roads. A few school closures and delays were announced Tuesday morning as well. The icy roads turned deadly in Clark County.

Snowfall and slick roads have districts delaying the start of the school day an hour or more in several places. Some bus routes will be detoured in others. Schools with late openings Tuesday include Rainier, Castle Rock, Longview, and Scappoose. Kelso schools are closed and seem to be the only district shuttering schools as of 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Schools across New York and New Jersey are holding delayed openings on Monday after snow fell across the tri-state area. Most areas around New York City saw between less than an inch to just over an inch of snow,
