Former Falcons QB to start final 3 games of 2025 NFL season
The Washington Commanders have officially shut down starting quarterback Jayden Daniels for the rest of the 2025 NFL season, head coach Dan Quinn told reporters on Monday afternoon. That leaves former Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota as the Commanders' starter for the final three games.
Head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Adam Peters informed Daniels of the decision this afternoon, The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala adds. Backup Marcus Mariota was also made aware of the situation. He will be tasked with handling QB1 duties for Washington’s final three games.
