Arutyun Gozukuchikyan's new mural of Kobe Bryant and Luka Doncic captures them embracing each other at a Lakers game in December 2019, a month before Bryant died in a helicopter crash.

Artist Arutyun Gozukuchikyan shared photos of his newest mural Monday, which is located at 8251 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The mural features a photo from a 2019 interaction between Doncic and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Since Doncic was still a Maverick in 2019, Gozukuchikyan painted over the superstar’s jersey to have him in Lakers gear.

Lakers superstar Luka Doncic drew an average of 2.01 million viewers in his highly-anticipated debut against the Jazz. Doncic finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists. The Lakers won 132-113. Then, Doncic tallied 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal in a 131-119 loss in a rematch to the Jazz.
