A mixture of snow and rain will end as snow by Tuesday morning! 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected in the northern mountains, with less accumulation in the valleys. Still, icy travel is possible!

As the storm approaches conditions will be cold enough initially for snow but it will pull in some mild air that is expected to change the precipitation to rain for some.

We enter day three under the influence of an atmospheric river. Northwest Montana will see the most snowfall today. Helena and Great Falls still have more accumulation to come through tomorrow.
