MANILA, Philippines — A total of 3,019 aftershocks have so far been recorded following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that shook southern Mindanao earlier this week, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
A notably strong magnitude 7.8 quake struck the Philippines. And Cuba saw its strongest earthquake in decades.
A rare magnitude 6.1 earthquake near western Cuba that was felt across parts of Florida on Monday could be followed by aftershocks in the days and weeks ahead, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said it has recorded 2,980 aftershocks as of 8 a.m. Thursday following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao on Monday. According to PHIVOLCS,
