After a dynamic Game 1 and a rocky Game 2, the UNC baseball team, led by Scott Forbes, took the field at home in Boshamer Stadium for a decisive Game 3. Holding the lead for the majority of the game, an error by the Tar Heels captain allowed an inning to continue and eventually lose the game for UNC, 4-3, ending their 2025 season.

The No. 5 seeded UNC baseball team (46-15) fell to Arizona (44-19), 4-3, on Sunday afternoon in Boshamer Stadium, eliminating the Diamond Heels from the NCAA baseball tournament.

Arizona capitalized on a pair of fielding errors in the top of the eighth inning to score three runs and stun the Diamond Heels 4-3.
