ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Elliot Cadeau scored 10 of his 19 points in the opening minutes of the first half and Yaxel Lendeborg had 13 of 15 points in the second half, leading No. 3 Michigan to an 86-72 win over Indiana on Tuesday night.

Indiana’s season is on the verge of collapse. The Hoosiers are currently in danger of missing the Big Ten Tournament for the first time ever. If the team can’t stem the tide of its defensive issues, Indiana’s year may end with the regular season.

Indiana plays Ohio State, Michigan and USC over a four-game stretch this fall. After hosting the Buckeyes, the Hoosiers visit Michigan in Week 8. Following a game against Minnesota in Week 9 and a bye in Week 10, Indiana hosts USC in Week 11 before ending the season with a road trip to Washington and its annual rivalry game with Purdue.

Indiana, the reigning national champions, will face off against Big Ten powers Ohio State and Michigan in back-to-back weeks next season.

The Hoosiers fell to No. 9 Michigan 95-67 on Thursday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. The loss moved Indiana to 0-10 in the conference with eight games remaining on its schedule. Freshman forward Maya Makalusky led the Hoosiers with 17 points.
