A Senate Judiciary Committee panel will put Flock Safety’s sprawling network of AI-powered license plate cameras under the microscope Wednesday amid concerns over privacy and potential misuse.

Missouri U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley recently opened an investigation into Flock, an automated license plate reader network used by law enforcement to track vehicles and investigate crimes.
