North Georgia families are dealing with a little storm fatigue just days after a previous winter weather threat moved through.
On Monday afternoon, Georgia Power sent 11Alive a release saying they have safely restored power to nearly all customers impacted by the winter storm.
“‘Protect & Serve’ is more than just words on a patrol car; it’s a commitment to our citizens that starts long before the shift begins,” said Sheriff Rusty Fulbright.
Confidence is growing that a significant winter storm could blanket much of the Northeast with the most snowfall of the winter season. It's expected to hit the East Coast late Wednesday afternoon, Feb.
A strengthening coastal storm will form off the coast of the Carolinas this weekend. The rapidly strengthening low is forecast to undergo bombogenesis, during which the pressure drops at least 24 mb in a 24-hour window. The bomb cyclone's moisture could stretch as far west as Georgia as the storm is in its infancy, depending on its final track.
A strong winter weather system has the potential to develop into a bomb cyclone off the East Coast later this weekend.

As for the target area of the storm, Accuweather reports, “As the atmospheric pressure crashes along the Atlantic coast from Friday to Saturday, a bomb cyclone will be born, win
