The chair of Prince Harry's former charity, Sentebale, is claiming that he requested she release a statement defending Meghan Markle after an event last year.

In an interview, the head of the charity claimed that the Duke of Sussex initiated the campaign by the "unleashing of the Sussex [PR] machine".

The Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, who set up the charity together in 2006, said in a statement they were stepping down due to an “untenable situation.”
