In what at first glance appears to be a major get for the club, Austin FC signed forward Brandon Vazquez from Mexican side C.F. Monterrey for a club-record transfer fee to a four-year deal through 2028, it announced Monday. The amount of the transfer fee was not disclosed.

Austin FC has completed the signing of USMNT striker Brandon Vasquez from CF Monterrey for a fee worth $10million. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the MLS side with the option of an additional 12 months.

After a disappointing 2024 campaign, Austin FC won’t look the same in 2025. Management decided changes needed to be made to the staff and roster. Josh Wolff, the first manager in club history, is out and Nico Estévez is in.
