Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown ignited a public kerfuffle Sunday when he was spotted reading a book — "Inner Excellence: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible Life," by Jim Murphy — to inspire himself during the team’s wild-card victory over the Green Bay Packers.

But every head coach has different expectations of their players, particularly on what they should be doing on the sidelines. Yet, don’t expect Eagles coach Nick Sirianni to stop Brown from reading that book. In fact, he’s known about it for a long time now.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was the latest to weigh in on Brown’s reading habits during Tuesday’s appearance on Philly sports radio’s WIP Morning Show and said that he was completely “O.K.” with the Pro Bowl wideout’s behavior. Sirianni gave his full support to Brown for doing what he needed to do to mentally prepare for the game.
