The tarp was placed on the field at Yankee Stadium prior to the scheduled start of their 7:05 p.m. Friday night game against Boston.

The start of Friday nights, June 7, Yankees vs. Red Sox game at Yankee Stadium was delayed due to inclement weather. The first pitch was originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m., but heavy rain and thunder forced a hold.
