A winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 12:16 p.m. EDT in effect until Monday at 2 a.m. EDT for Iron, Dickinson and Menominee counties.

Yosemite, Upper San Joaquin River and Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge are included in an updated winter storm warning released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 7:50 p.m. The warning is valid

On Sunday at 12:11 p.m. the NWS Sacramento CA released a winter storm warning valid from 8 p.m. until Monday 5 p.m. for Shasta Lake and Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Western Colusa County.

The risk of severe weather we've been talking about for a week will arrive this afternoon with all threats possible. During the overnight, the Storm Prediction Center released today's risk for severe weather,

Evening showers will linger into the overnight hours and there could be a few showers Sunday morning as temps only drop to the lower 70s across the Bay Area. Scattered storms will fire up Sunday afternoon with highs in the mid 80s.

Scattered showers will move into the region likely by the late morning hours for western areas then by the afternoon for eastern zones lasting through the evening. Rain will likely be on the lighter side and not a complete washout for the entire day as there will be breaks in the rain.

An active weather pattern is in store for Chicagoland on Sunday, with strong to severe afternoon storms possible in some locations. Temperatures will remain very mild, at least if you're south of a very apparent cold front that's creating a wide range in temps Sunday.

Thanks to a cold front, central, southern and eastern North Texas are under the threat of severe storms by Sunday late afternoon and early evening.
