Five tornadoes touched down Sunday in Cass, Ingham, Kent, and Newaygo counties, the National Weather Service confirmed. The first one, an EF1, started at about 4:52 p.m. in Edwardsburg in Cass County, officials with the weather service's Northern Indiana office said.

Clean-up efforts are underway after mineral oil was spilled in the Grand River during Sunday's storms, according to EGLE.

EGLE received reports of the oil sheen on Monday, one day after severe weather battered West Michigan. They said they believe the weather may be to blame for the possible oil sheen.
