Five tornadoes touched down Sunday in Cass, Ingham, Kent, and Newaygo counties, the National Weather Service confirmed. The first one, an EF1, started at about 4:52 p.m. in Edwardsburg in Cass County, officials with the weather service's Northern Indiana office said.

EGLE received reports of the oil sheen on Monday, one day after severe weather battered West Michigan. They said they believe the weather may be to blame for the possible oil sheen.
