Horschel, a native of Grant, Florida, used a 60-degree wedge to poke at the small gator, forcing it to retreat into the water. Horschel’s efforts drew applause from patrons and praise from announcers.
Golfer Billy Horschel guided a gator back into the water during Thursday's Cognizant Classic at the PGA National Members Club in Palm Springs Gardens in Florida. An alligator made its way onto the links, and Horschel (a former Florida Gator) used one of his clubs to nudge the gator back into the water so play could resume.
The Florida native showed off his experience in the Everglades, forcing an alligator off PGA National's golf course.
