When the Dodgers signed Kyle Tucker after getting Edwin Díaz, that reportedly pushed MLB owners over the edge and even has them talking about instilling a salary cap.
As Matt Clapp shared for Awful Announcing, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred insisted during an appearance on New York sports radio station WFAN that there "has been a rush to negativity by a lot of the media that covers our sport" regarding what many fear is an inevitable work stoppage that could impact parts or all of the 2027 season.
Bo Bichette and the New York Mets have finalized their $126 million, three-year contract. A two-time All-Star shortstop with the Toronto Blue Jays, Bichette will move to third base with the Mets, who have Francisco Lindor at shortstop.
After losing first baseman Pete Alonso to the Baltimore Orioles, along with losing out on the bidding war for Tucker, Mets general manager David Stearns struck a deal with the Chicago White Sox to bring one of the best defensive-minded outfielders in the majors to Queens.
