Microsoft founder Bill Gates weighed in on his fellow billionaire Elon Musk’s international political ambitions—twice calling the Tesla and SpaceX owner’s support for far-right movements abroad “insane.

Former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has publicly criticized Tesla CEO Elon Musk for his increased participation in foreign political elections.

It's really insane that he can destabilize the political situations in countries,' Bill Gates said in an interview with The Times of London.

During an interview, the Microsoft founder was quick to put a stop to comparisons between himself and Elon Musk, and laid into the Trump ally for his involvement with foreign politics.

"It's really insane that he can destabilize the political situations in countries [...] this is populist stirring."

Bill Gates said the federal deficit "needs to be brought down" when asked about DOGE during a recent interview.

Bill Gates says he's on board with Elon Musk's cost-cutting plans for DOGE as long as the U.S. government doesn't lose sight of its value system.
