"The Brutalist" star Adrien Brody arrived at the 97th Academy Awards' red carpet Sunday as a second-time Oscar nominee.

Adrien Brody's girlfriend Georgina Chapman said that Brody and Halle Berry's surprising red carpet kiss at the 2025 Oscars — a recreation of an iconic moment from the 2003 Academy Awards — was "more than fine.

"Anora" captured five Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress in a star-studded ceremony hosted by Conan O’Brien in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Kiss approved. Halle Berry got permission from Adrien Brody’s girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, before recreating their 2003 Oscars kiss at the 2025 Academy Awards. Berry even apologized to the fashion designer before locking lips with Brody, later joking that she’d waited decades for the opportunity to present itself.

Twenty-two years ago, at the 2003 Academy Awards, Adrien unsuspectingly kissed Halle. After winning Best Actor for The Pianist, he landed a massive kiss on Halle, and everybody was shocked. During his acceptance speech, Adrien joked, "I bet they didn't tell you that was in the gift bag," Halle appeared pretty shocked.

The 2025 Oscars honored the best in cinema from the past year Sunday night. The 97th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O'Brien, ended with "Anora" taking home the coveted trophy for best picture. "Anora" was the top film of the night, taking home five Oscars including best director for Sean Baker.
