Mike Trout intends to resume running next week but the Angels slugger won't come off the IL when first eligible Sunday.

Instead, Trout remains on the IL after his latest knee injury, one he suffered in an awkward collision during an April 30 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Although Trout will join the Angels for their upcoming three-game series against the San Diego Padres, that doesn’t mean we’ll see the future Hall of Famer in action this week.
