Colorado State has fired coach Jay Norvell, making the decision following Saturday's loss to Hawaii, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reports. The Rams are 2-5 this season and have lost four of their last five games, struggling to find a rhythm offensively during Norvell's fourth campaign.
CSU has fired Jay Norvell with five games left in the 2025 season and defensive coordinator Tyson Summers will serve as interim coach. CSU's news release around the firing said the school will "immediately launch a nationwide search" for Norvell's replacement.
The Rams lost to the San Diego State Aztecs 45-24 Friday as a 5.5-point road underdog as the Over (41) easily cashed. They have struggled, especially at home, with a 17-point loss against Washington State and a 1-point loss against UTSA. Colorado State is 2-3 ATS; 1-2 ATS at home.
