The Blue Devils’ dominant defense was again on point against Pittsburgh, and freshmen Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel were active on offense.

The goal of any top-ranked college basketball team is, of course, to win a national championship, something Duke is well-equipped to do this season. However, it seems this year’s Blue Devils have enacted a separate goal — to impose their will on the rest of the ACC.

On Tuesday night, No. 4 Duke dominated Pitt start-to-finish at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium, winning 76-47. The Panthers did not score in the final 7:59 of the game, after trailing for most of the matchup. Duke ended the dominant victory on an 18-0 run.

But there’s a catch: it was only part of an astonishing performance by Cooper Flagg that helped propel Duke to a 76-47 win. Flagg picked up two early fouls and spent a fair amount of the first half on the bench as a result.
