California and other liberal-led states sued the Trump administration Tuesday over a measure aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide.

More than 20 mostly Democratic-led states sued the Trump administration Tuesday over its efforts to cut Medicaid payments to the nation's largest abortion provider — Planned Parenthood.

Five Planned Parenthood locations in California have closed following cuts to funding under the federal spending and tax bill signed into law earlier this month by President Trump, the organization said.
