Winter Weather Warnings in 9 States as 22 Inches of Snow to Hit
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for parts of California and Alaska, where up to 22 inches of snow could be recorded in some areas. Lower winter weather advisory notes are also in place for seven other states as a wave of inclement weather sweeps across central and eastern parts of the country.

The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 3:07 a.m. EST on Saturday valid from 11 a.m. EST until Sunday 1 a.m. EST for Houghton County.
Winter weather advisory for Eastern Mojave Desert, Including the Mojave National Preserve from Sunday to Tuesday – up to 3 inches of snow
On Saturday at 11:16 a.m. the NWS Las Vegas NV issued a winter weather advisory valid from Sunday 10 p.m. until Tuesday 10 a.m.
UPDATE: Winter weather advisory issued for Eastern North Carolina until Thursday morning, according to the NWS
On Wednesday at 3:20 p.m. the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC issued a winter weather advisory valid from 6 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. The advisory is for Martin, Pitt, Greene, Duplin and Lenoir counties.
Winter weather advisory for Upper Peninsula until 1 a.m. EST Sunday – up to 5 inches of snow
EST a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 1 p.m. EST until Sunday 1 a.m. EST for Keweenaw, Ontonagon, Baraga and Houghton counties.
Eastern California under a winter weather advisory until early Monday evening – up to 9 inches of snow
On Saturday at 2:03 a.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the NWS Las Vegas NV valid from 4 p.m. until Monday 4 p.m. The advisory is for Eastern Sierra Slopes of Inyo County, Owens Valley and White Mountains of Inyo County.
Winter storm watch issued for Oswego County from Saturday to Monday
