Marc Guehi is closing in on a move to Manchester City with the defender’s exit from Crystal Palace progressing into its final stages. Pep Guardiola ’s side have fended off interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool to land the England international, whose contract at Selhurst Park was due to expire at the end of the season.

The January window is kicking up a notch as we approach the final weeks, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all looking to make new signings.

Guehi would become City’s second signing of the January transfer window after their capture of winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth last week.
