Michael Jackson's “You Rock My World” debuts on two Billboard charts, earning the star a posthumous top 10 smash 15 years after his death.

Firefighters are battling a fire at a North Jackson apartment complex Wednesday evening. Jackson Fire Department crews responded to The Pines at Manhattan, located at 5255 Manhattan Road, near North State Street. Officials said heavy fire and thick smoke were coming from one of the buildings when crews arrived.

The rally brought together churches of all denominations with a mission to transform Jackson through prayer and community action.

RIVES TWP., MI - One person was killed Thursday evening in a hit-and-run crash near Jackson. A pedestrian was killed around 9:36 p.m. Jan. 15 in a crash with a car on Lansing Avenue near South Oak Creek Drive in Rives Township, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Police identified the teen as Isaiah Ramos-Bostwick of Jackson. One suspect, 13, accused of open murder is held at the Jackson County Youth Center. Another child, a 15-year-old who also fled the scene, was released to the custody of a parent, Jackson Police Chief Chris Simpson announced in a statement.
