The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released the preliminary findings for an experimental, amateur-built plane that went down on Feb. 14 in Poplar Grove.

A small aircraft crashed near Dorsey Park in Hollywood on Saturday, killing the pilot. Andrew Mechling, 74, of Tall Timbers was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Maryland State Police.
