The Boston Red Sox are one of two finalists for two-time World Series champ Alex Bregman, per MLB insider Gleniel Garcia. While the Detroit Tigers are the frontrunner, Garcia thinks the Sox could just as easily swipe Bregman from underneath them.

The 30-year-old has fallen off a bit over the last two seasons (hitting .260 with a .768 OPS in 145 games in 2024), but he could still be a solid addition for a Red Sox team that could use the veteran leadership and winning experience.

The Boston Red Sox have come to terms on a deal with former Dodgers' ace Walker Buehler. Buehler threw the final out in the 2024 World Series to close out the New York Yankees in five games, which gave the Dodgers their second title in five years.
