Alabama football has added another player to its 2026 recruiting class. Nick Sherman, a Tuscaloosa native, has committed to the Crimson Tide, he announced Sunday. "Coming HOME, COMMITTED," Sherman wrote on social media.
What several OU football players did last month on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium didn't go unnoticed, or forgotten, by Alabama football players.
CBS college football analyst Rick Neuheisel reported Kalen DeBoer plans to stay at Alabama on Friday. “My sources say Kalen DeBoer is happy in Tuscaloosa and will stay there,” Neuheisel said.
Alabama will make another case as 'NFLU' in the 2026 NFL Draft. Ty Simpson, Kadyn Proctor and two others make USA TODAY Sports' top draft prospects.
Sherman, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound Tuscaloosa native, joins five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds and four star Zyan Gibson in Alabama 's 2026 recruiting class. At Itawamba Community College in 2025, Sherman had 24 tackles, one sack and two interceptions.
Alabama football earned its first All-America honor of the 2025 season on Friday. Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor was named first-team All-America by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. The honor came in the same week where Proctor was named first-team All-SEC by both the Associated Press media voters and the conference’s coaches.
The league's coaches voted Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor as the winner of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, as he shares the award with Texas A&M's Trey Zuhn III.
