A marcher critically wounded in a shooting at Salt Lake City’s 10,000-strong “No Kings” protest on Saturday night has died, police reported Sunday afternoon. “Our victim was not the intended target,” Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd said, “but rather an innocent bystander participating in the demonstration”

SALT LAKE CITY ( KTVX) — A person is dead after they were struck by crossfire during an incident at a “No Kings” protest in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday, police have confirmed.

Thousands gathered at Salt Lake City’s Pioneer Park Saturday evening for another “No Kings” protest, following the earlier demonstration at the University of Utah.

Organizers are accusing the president of putting on the parade as a show of dominance. The protests were peaceful, but came against the backdrop of assassinations in Minnesota.

Meanwhile, thousands of "No Kings Day" protests are set to be held across the U.S. on Saturday to protest the Trump administration and to counterprogram the military parade in Washington, D.C. Protestors wearing shirts reading "make out not war" climbed on top of a military vehicle ahead of the Army parade.
